All living things have genes, and can have genetic disorders. In plants the results are refered to as sports. Causing sports is one method of getting new species. They use certain chemicals to treat seeds.

yes. most cultivated fruits(like berries) have more sets of chromosomes than the normal. this "disorder" makes them bigger and tastier.
