Industrial Pollution - in the form of freely dumping hazardous chemicals to avoid proper disposal is not as rampant as the movies lead you to believe. There are hundreds of laws and rules that document and track hazardous materials from cradle to grave.

In the USA, the EPA (http://www.epa.gov) regulates and supervises the clean up of facilities that are contaminated (superfund), regulate hazardous materials use and storage (RCRA) and have programs to clean up contaminated sites (CERCLIS).

Each state has its own branch that regulates the programs and protects the public health.

uhmm, ok, industrial pollution is rampant on the internet and the airwaves. We are constantly bombarded and wade through the endless advertisements that tout this product and decry that product and all for what? so we buy more of any product. We are trained consumerists and they trained us well.
