My mom did it for like a year, and lost tons of weight. So, yes it does work! You get to eat what you want in moderation, and you have a point system.

i have spoken to many people who have had great success on weight watchers, but most gain it back when they go off it. here, i believe, is why:
***they are eating the right things and the right portions, but do not know why or how to keep doing it themselves once they go off.*** (this and many don't exercise also)
i think ww might be a good thing to try, but mean while READ, READ, and READ some more to educate urself on ur body and it's nutritional needs. i know it sounds boring and/or maybe u feel u don't have the time, but it's no fail. always read nutritional panels on food u buy - this is a small, quick, easy way to learn and make healthy decisions when eating out. look at calories and know how much u consume versus how much u can burn in a day - anything left over is stored as fat. so much more i could tell u, but my general opinion is what i stated above - i think ww would work, but it's up to u to educate urself enuff to continue on ur own eventually.

Weight Watchers is an excellent program, focused on portion (calorie) control and behavior modification. It is not restrictive, but helps you make healthier food choices. Like any diet, if you go off of it, you will regain the weight.
People who fail at Weight Watchers largely fail, IMHO, because they do not measure their food intake. Estimating your food intake consistently will lead to you eating more than you think.
In the interested of full disclosure, I lost almost 60 lbs. on Weight Watchers, but I regained it all when I quit ;( Alas!

yes it really does work...that is the best and healthiest diets that one could follow. its really simple to follow. its besed on a point system and you can eat anything you want, just limit the quantities. its a slow process. the first week or two you may lose about 3-4 pounds, which is just the water weight. the weeks after that you may lose about 2 pounds per week. but that is how slow you want to lose it. you shouldnt lose weight fast. be patient and try it. my sister lost over 50 pounds on it and about 2 years ago in anout a 3 month period, i lost about 20 pounds. you will see the difference. good luck...
