He literally waited one week and cut off all contact with her. He didn't even have the guts to break up with her in person. He just quit calling and answering her calls. This happened to my sister years ago and both parties are now both happily married to other people (at least she is), but I just wanted an opinion on just how horrible (or not) his cowardly act was.

The act was horrible itself, but it seems like God had a plan for your sister not to be with that guy and had something much better in store for her. I know that the loss of a baby is devastating but her blessing is finding a good man and flourishing with him instead.
I would rate the coward a 13 that was real low down.

Not the nicest thing, but a miscarriage can be hard for the guy too. One day he's preparing to be a father and the next moment all that has fallen apart. Add to that the stress of supporting the girl. The whole thing was probably too much for the guy.

This is why pre-marital sex is dangerous emotionally. The guy may stick around if a kid is involved, but he always has the option to duck out. Pretty horrible, but completely understandable. I could see myself doing something like that a few years ago.

It may well be a blessing in disguise. If the boyfriend only stayed with her because of the pregnancy, then its not a good enough reason to be together in the first place. Another side of reasoning is that this guy realised he was not mature enough to cope with this kind of situation, which again is a good reason not to continue the relationship.

We think these really bad things happen to us, but in the long run it is often better the way things turned out as in the case of your sisters. Call it fate looking after you.

1 on the plus side atleast your sister got dumped by some useless guy who does not have the heart and does not really love her, its only 1 cause its not horrible at all your sister should be thankful this man left her, if the didnt then she would not even be happily married right now

If 10 were starting a Nazi death-camp and 1 was peeing in the public swimming pool, it would be like a 9.5 on the scale of horrible acts.

Definitely a 10. Dumping a girl, especially after this kind of "crisis," is just plain irresponsible and immature. He doesn't love her. That is horrible, but at least your sister has found her true love.

He's a jerk. If things aren't working out, then be a man and tell your partner your not happy and its time to move on. Don't be a coward and act like an ***. Your sister is better off without someone that would treat her this way.

Maybe they need a woman who can give them an heir. King Henry beheaded wives for not being able to do that. You should be glad you still have something above the shoulders.
