All the colds I've had that I can remember have been accompanied by moderate to high fevers lasting anywhere from 2 days to a week. Do I just get really bad colds, or were they bouts of mild influenza? In the other words I'm really really vulnerable or really resistant. Which one is it?

With a cold, you may or may not run a fever. Most of the time, people don't, but apparently you do. A few of them may have been flu as well. If it's mild, you often can't tell the difference.

You seem vulnerable. Bad colds can make you have a fever, maybe you have the flu and didn't know it.

Always see a doctor if your fevers progress that long. That is not good.
