i am going to have a MRI and was wanting to know if i had to get the dye if the DR would have told me when he made the appointment?

more than likely but not necessarily. don't remember them injecting dye when i had the MRI back in June. but when they did the CT-Scan they used dye because they wanted to a contrast view. and with the bone scan it's part of the test.

I think it depends on where you're getting the MRI. I had one and did not have to take any dye. Call your dr. tomorrow morning w/this and he'll let you know. FYI: I had to take off all my jewelry, so don't get a belly or nose ring yet. (If you don't already have them). Ask your dr. about that too.

no, they have everything there for the mri.
they make u drink the dye and then u go through a tunnel
where they see the inside of your whole body

the doctor would have told you if u would need contrast if you do they usally put in an iv and thats just a pinprick or they might make you swallow something its not that bad if u are worried though call ur doctor my guess is that ur not getting any because they normally tell u if u are good luck!!

Usually they tell you right up front because if you have any allergies to the dye, they won't give it to you. The reaction to dye can be very bad...
