Can you tell us which particular camera make & model you have? If so, we can probably recommend a specific solution.

There are two ways to look at this question. I can't answer the first, except to say that many cameras have a "panoramic assist" mode to keep all exposure and white balance settings the same to make post-adjustment easier when you "stitch" the whole series together in Photoshop.

The second way to look at this is to say that you can just crop your picture to a panoramic proportion. Shoot with the widest wide angle available on your camera and then crop out about the top 1/4 of the image and the bottom 1/4 of the image. You can choose some other proportion rather than 1/4+1/4 as long as it adds up to about 1/2 to come up with the "classic" (haha - from the 1980's...) panoramic proportion made popular with APS film cameras.

Koko - I think we take turns. Many times there are no answers and your pops in while I am typing mine. :-)

You have to pan and shoot multibly shots of a scene. Later on in a program like Photoshop, stich them together by lining up different lines and objects together.

Gezz Alan, you either you type really fast or I type really slow... You keep beating me at answering questions. =P
