No. In Mark 15:32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe." ESV The text is clear that in Mark 15:31 So also the chief priests with the scribes mocked him to one another.
One Thief on the Cross is quoted in Luke 23:39 Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!"
ESV
These are 2 diff rent accounts which give credit to the sayings to 2 different people.

No, Mark 15:32 is saying, Jesus explained to his two power hungry disciples a person who wants to be close to Jesus that they must be prepared to suffer and die as he himself was doing. The way to the kingdom is the way of the cross. If we want glory of the kingdom, we must be willing to be united with the crucified Christ.
Luke 23:39-43: a man was about to die an he turned to Christ for forgivness, and Christ accepted him. This showed that our deeds dont save us, our faith in Christ does. That its never to late to turn to God. And even those who repent at the last min. can be with God.
They are saying the same thing but in two different ways. Why do they sound contradictory??

Mark 15:32 states that the chief priest mocked Him and so did those who were crucified with Him. Luke states that one of the criminals mocked Him. Well, this is written by different authors. Regardless of how many were mocking Him. The point is He was mocked by many and He was crucified. Usually at a Crucifixion the Romans did more than a few people.

No, they aren't. Mark was probably futher away from Jesus, so he saw that one was talking to Jesus (asking Him to save them), and the other getting mad at the other thief who asked. So, Mark could have concluded that they were making fun and getting angry at Jesus.
Luke was probably closer to Jesus so he could hear the conversation.
Maybe that was not what really happened, but it is possible.
As for the Bible, the words of God do not contradict. They might just have different meaning to different things, because the English Bible is a translation so there might be some words that are not in the English dictionary but used in the original language of the Bible, thus making the meaning slightly different.
God bless you!

Mark 15:32 states that the criminals who were crucified with Jesus "heaped insults on him."
Luke 23:39-43 states that only one of the criminals mocked him; the other repented.
Is this a contradiction? The three of them were suffering together on their respective crosses for several hours. Perhaps both of them started off insulting Jesus, but after a while, one of them repented and asked Jesus for mercy.

Luk 23:39 One of the criminals who were hanged {there} was hurling abuse at Him, saying, "Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!"
Luk 23:40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
Luk 23:41 "And we indeed {are suffering} justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."
Luk 23:42 And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!"
Luk 23:43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."
Mar 15:31 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking {Him} among themselves and saying, "He saved others; He cannot save Himself.
Mar 15:32 "Let {this} Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe!" Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him.
These are not contradictory as they are different viewpoints of different moments of time that occured at the same event.

In the perspective of Mark's view of the events
he is giving the overview of the proceedings.....
With Luke, it is a detailed description of the event itself....
There is No contradiction in these accountings--
in one-- the witness is saying that the individuals who were being executed that day added their own voice to the railings heaped upon Christ---which is borne out in Luke accounting of the one particular person having hard negative commentary against Christ, literally AT the cross--- he (Luke) just simply throws into the mix---the One guy asking for forgiveness and making an acknowledgment OF Christ for who HE IS !!

Mark 15:32
Let this Christ this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. Those crucified with Him also heaped insults on Him.
The second criminal later repented and asked to be included in Jesus' Kingdom. He rebuked his companion in death, warning that he should fear God. Luke 23:39-43
These verses do not contradict each other. : )

Jebus got insulted by the robbers while on the cross. He was probably so pissed off that his momma lied to him about being the son of god with all the virgin birth crapola, he just took the verbal abuse from common thieves and bawled and cried "Oh father, why have you forsaken me?"
What he was thinking was "these nails really hurt, I'm such an idiot, why didn't I keep my mouth shut, get an honest job instead of being a beggar storyteller. The free meals weren’t that good. I'm a dumb-***.
But on the upside, millions will be murdered in my name along with all the other god boys. SO I GET MY REVENGE AHAHA HA. But I’ll be just as dead, worm meat, no more gay sex with Judas or James. I’ll miss that. Hey maybe that’s why Judas rated me out, maybe him and James or Paul are cutting me out of the orgies. Damn these nails hurt.
Hey, maybe I’ll come back as David Koresh and get some M-16’s and get me some pre-teen girls to marry. Next time, I’ll have more fun. What do I have to convert to for the reincarnation belief bit?

Mark 15:32 mentions the incidenct (that Christ was mocked by others being crucified) and Luke gives the whole story (that one mocked, while another rebuked him for doing so). So, no, they aren't contradictory. Just (typical of the 4 gospels) giving different amounts of information.
