Believe it or not my husband was fired because he was LDS Christian His boss was (Christian Grace type) and he would constantly taunt my husband to get him to drink coffee and say mean things about the LDS faith and when my husband would h refuse coffee because it is against the LDS Faith.
His other boss who had just quit going to a better job gave him a glowing report in his file and gave him a copy of it.
The new boss tried to fire him and stated it was because he wasn't on time they pulled the records they found he was 10 to 15 minutes early and would always stay over when asked.
Then My husband found a man in a commission of a crime stealing credit cards people had sent back and the man was using them at the ATM 2 to 3 times a night This man just happened to be friends with My husband Christian boss His boss let the guy who committed the crime go home where he hung himself. Then wrote my husband up for it and fired him when my husband protested.
Any way it went to court the bank brought 3 attorneys. We just brought just our evidence and we won because 1. Boss had not documented properly 2. His boss religiously harassed my husband which is against the law 3. Guy was not smart and yelled at the judge.
The judge asked if he wanted his job back or double the compensation he lost from lost time at work My husband said all I just want what they would have owed me and the judge was so mad at the boss Judge ordered double the pay any way because what he did was against the law .Needless to say the boss lost his job at the bank.
My husband found a better job at more pay than his boss was even being paid that my husband could still go to medical school during the day.
So my advice just don't do it. You could lose your job .Even if they were a Satanist as long as they don't disscuss there religion and do there job you can't touch them.

"Should I fire my employees who aren't Christian?
I know it's illegal but I could make up something else as to why I fired them...."
Athiests. Cute aren't they? Don't you just love how they make up these questions and pretend to be a one dimensional caricature of a stereotypical Christian Madalyn O'Hair might conjure up? LOL!
Of course, if you were really were a Christian, and your employees are as filled with hate as the athiests here on Yahoo Answers, I couldn't blame you for wanting to. Some of them sound like they're capable of violence. But they'd sue the shortcake out of if you did fire them.

You should not fire your employees no matter what if they aren't Christians because it's just silly to do that. Only fire them if they don't obey your rules or other reasons.
By the way, I'm Christian.

If you're just impersonating Christians to try and give them a bad name, (and I don't say this often) go get a f***ing life. If you're actually considering this, go ahead and do it. I hope you get sued and charged. At least it would free your employees from working under a moronic bigot.

I think that it shouldn't be the employers concern as to what religious preferences their employees have.
