my cat loves bolttle water. but the funny thing is he like to drink out of the cap .

and when i show him the brush he jumps on my bed and has to have his hair burshed . and he also takes up the bed. lol

Nope, your cat is not weird at all only a bit spoiled and who's to say that is weird!
I've had several cats and have one now too and she is so very spoiled and why not?
She likes to get brushed but only is it's her idea and she drinks water from glasses we set on the end tables as well as on the kitchen chairs too. I think she would drink water from any place we would set her drinking dishes.
She even enjoys her little babies wading pool that she plays in when it's so hot outside but her pool is kept in our porch because she is not allowed outside without her leach & collar on.
Yes, she's a bit spoiled and we sure don't care and she may even think she's a dog cause she's been raised with our Husky who gives her bathes when we aren't looking and she soaked for hours after.

I have a cat that likes to take a bath. If I'm running water to take a bath she jumps right in. I guess my cat is weird because she'll drink water out of the horse's trough.

no its not weird. It shows that the cat enjoys your friendship, and they will do all sorts to be 'up there like you'.

Also due to keen sense of smell, the fresh water is more attractive than stale water that has been sitting around for days.

Cats are connoisseurs, and they like the finer stuff in their cat life; especially once they got the taste for it.

No, that sounds completely normal. My cats seem to like drink watering from anything but their water bowl. My drinks are favorites.

And all but one will actively come to me when I hold up a brush. Most loved to be brushed.

My cat's vet Say's to give my cat Mia bottled water! As a matter of fact I drink it myself.Cats do the silliest things such as drinking out of the cap.

My cat does the same things. Aspen- my cat- loves to drink from either the sink, tub, or water bottle. And to make him even more 'weird' he likes to play with a stuffed dog, even carries it around in his mouth like a momma would her kittens. Every cat has it's special qualities. Have fun!!

My cat (now in cat heaven) use to drag a "baby big bird" doll with him wherever he went like a security blanket, and would bring it out in front of guests in the middle of the living room and then proceed to violently and loudly "make love" to it. Many guests never came back. After many years "big bird" lost all it's fake fur and was putrid but my cat would find it and bring it back whenever I tried to throw it out....now that's weird!

Hehe, no your cat isnt wierd! hes just got his own personality... My cat loves being brushed too, I got him his own special brush and when i tap it, or even pick it up he comes running... as for the water thing, well last week one of my glasses was broken because i forgot i left it next to the bed and my cat likes to tip anything containing water over, doesnt drink it, just tips is over!! so no, your cat is just your cat, and he is beautiful!

The great thing about cats is their unique preferences. Every time my husband has a bottle of beer opened, the cat loves to lick the top of the bottle (which, of course, drives him crazy!). She is also constantly drinking out of my water glasses, but won't drink out of her own dish. She drinks out of the dogs' water dish instead.

No your cat isn't weird at all.
I had a cat when I was younger, and she would only drink COLD water out of a CUP. She wouldn't even think about drinking room temp. water and especially not out of a bowel or cat dish! :)
