I do not want kids. I know I will not be a good mother b/c I will end up abusing the kid. so I wanna get my tubes tied. how much does it cost??

Oh sweetie, don't even think about that. You are still so young. You sound afraid and worried. Why not go and see a nice female doctor who can talk to you about some good ideas for helping you enjoy your life or learn a new skill? When you are older you might find you might actually want a baby. I know that probably sounds completely impossible to believe at the moment but it could happen. I don't know your life or your upbringing or your personality, but I hope you can find a friend who can help you to realise you can do anything if you set your mind to it and can really do amazing things. You know what? Girls are amazing creatures - we are very strong and very able to cope... sometimes you think you can't cope with something and then it happens and you DO!

No, don't get your tubes tied. There is another type of procedure you can have done that will make you sterile. I forget the name of it but what the doctor will do is insert a metal wire about the size of a key into your uterus. The procedure can be very painful, but only lasts a few seconds. Your body will think that you are already pregnant, beause something is in your uterus, so you can't have kids. However if you change yor mind over time the procedure is easily reversible because the metal is simply removed and you can have children again. Talk to your doctor though you might just want regular birth control or shots which you only have to get once evey three months. best wishes

Well first off depending on the state you live in, you can't have it done until you're either 25 years old or unless you already have 2 or 3 children. And it's hard to find doctor's that will even do it then, because they believe that with time you may change your mind, and it would be too late to turn back the clock and you could regret it for the rest of your life. Try waiting, and use good birth control for now, you may just surprise yourself in the future and want children!

Good luck finding a doctor who will do it. They tend not to do it until you are in your upper 20s or if you already have a lot of kids. I knew a woman who was 23 and had just had her third baby. They had planned the first two but not the third and did not want any more. She went to the doc and they refused to tie her tubes until she was over 25.

First of all, you need to address your issue, not put a "bandaid" on it. You say you will abuse a child? Sounds like you have suffered some abuse yourself, and just because you tie your tubes, does not mean you won't abuse someone else. Go get some help for yourself. Once you fix "you", and you grow up, you may want to have children. You are very young still. Go seek some help!

ure only 16. wth are u doing thinking about having kids? ure still a kid urself.
get ur mind out of the gutter. i bet ur not as concerned about college and having a positive future as u are about getting ur tubes tied.
please don't ever get pregnant because u're absolutely right about abusing ur kids. just use birth control in the meantime and u can get ur tubes tied after ur child bearing years, after 34.

No doctor will tie a girls tubes at 16. You may change your mind one day, and a doctor won't have you regretting you decision later in life. If you were 30, then maybe. Never at 16.

Why would you want this when you are only 16!!! You have no idea what you want in life yet, by the sounds of things you have no idea in general! You need to take a step back and really think about what you want to do because this is irreversible so you cant change your mind a few years down the track! and another thing there are so many women out there that are unable to have children themselves and would do anything to be in your fertile position. You are selfish and immature and need to grow up!

A doctor will not let you do that at 16,you have to at least have 2 kids before you can do that.If u don't think you will treat your kids right,use protection,if you slip up,always consider adoption.If you do not want the kids,there are plenty people out there that are dying just to concieve or have children.
