What does that mean I am to sit around waiting for him to one weekend call me and the next weekend not? Not date other people? Wait for him to decide he met someone else at one of the bars he goes to on the weekends we do not date? my heart still is very much in love with him, I have tried not to be but I am. Help!

I should have stated that we are not having sex actually there hasn't been any passion in a long time, one of the reasons we broke up in the first place after a 5 year relationship so I know its not a booty call. thanks for the help yall! It does help.

What he means is, go on a few dates, and just see if the spark is still there for him. If he does meet someone else he will leave. It might be another time for your heart to break. I say move on. You "see how things go" with someone you just met, but if he wants to attempt to date you again it should be called a relationship. Like I said, if you aren't on a date, and he finds someone else, you heart gets broken again.

Yeah I agree, it means he wants the convenience of always having a score. He can go to a party or out to a club and if he can't pick some one up, he'll call you. It could also mean that he is jealous, some men don't want you to be with anyone else even if they don't want you. Or the satisfaction of power, knowing that you are waiting for him while he's out playing behind your back. The only way to stop him is to say no. He will only abuse you as long as you let him. So love yourself more than you love him and kick him to the curb!!!

He knows you still want him, and he wants to take advantage of that. The whole "see how things go, but don't call it a relationship" thing basically means, "I want all the advantages of being in a relationship without actually having to treat you with the respect I would give a girlfriend"

If he is free to date other people so are you. Is this what he has in mind, that you should go back to dating each other as if you don't have a history together? This is not going to work. He either commits to you and only you or he can get lost.

You need to ask him these questions. Tell him that you aren't in the mood to just see how things go if it means those things that concern you. If you are going to have a good relationship on both ends, you need to be able to communicate.
