how long would it take me and how many hours a day should i jumprope? I am 4'8 and 87lbs and 13 years old

You should jump rope for at least 30 minutes a day.. and watch what you eat e.g avoid processed foods and dairy

Yes. You can lose 8 pounds by doing just about anything, if you aren't eating those calories.

You don't need to lose weight, though. Even at 4'8, 87 pounds isn't a lot, unless you've got almost no muscle on you. If you're concerned about your appearance, jumping rope would be a good excercise to get into. You might also try some light weightlifting. (I assume you're a girl, so you probably don't want to overdo that, but it would help keep your upper and lower body in proportion)

Don't obsess over your weight without considering how much muscle you've got.

Stay away from hydrongized foods, fast foods, breads, and lastly sugars. If you keep on a meat and vegetable with starches or a treat now and then that might help out. Also don't become anorexic because that can mess up your metabolism. Just stick to a exercise routine.
