The quality of the workmanship. If someone can charge $400 for a haircut and is getting it, they must be doing an excellent job. These people are often the leaders in their field. I think you won't get much for $30 but a good $100-125 haircut is just fine! If you're short on cash and live in New York or another big city, you can often find free haircuts at the $400 salons; people are training (asistants) or they offer classes. Bumble and Bumble and Frederic Fekkai do a great job!

I would say realistically you would find more of a difference between a 10 dollar and 30 dollar haircut. You can find good stylist at 10 dollar chop shops, as well as at salon/spa were they charge 25-100 dollars. You are taking a risk anywhere, But the risk is higher at a chop shop because a talented stylist won't do a 10 dollar haircut because they know they can demand more and get it. Don't ever go into a "walk-in" national chain place, you are more likely to get a bad haircut due to inexperience.

$ 370 in math terms. The more expensive haircut just makes them feel really special and important for a while, the cheap haircut saves you 370.00 you can spend on clothing and night out. Who's the dumb one now.

Smart or broke? Savvy or stupid?

I'd rather put that towards a vacation. Or a really nice coat or pair of shoes. I pay $15 for my hair cut and it looks great! MOst places that charge a lot have snooty people in there too and you might get convinced to go for something you'd never like but, hey, it's Fubio, so he has to know what he is doing and for $400 it has to be the best!

There can be a difference... It just depends on who you go to. I truly believe you don't need to pay $400 for a decent fashionable haircut $50-80 is more about right.

Good luck

Just because it cost more doesn't mean that you will get a good hair cut. I once paid $100.00 and the guy ruined all my hair with a razor. He had no clue of what he was doing and didn't listen. The cut I wanted had nothing to do with a razor touching my hair. I had to wear my hair up for almost a year and then get all the razored hair cut off, which was allot since my hair WAS long. My hair is stil paying the price for that fiasco.

A happy ending. But then again I'm a guy so it's hard to justify $400 otherwise. Heck it's hard to justify $30.
