The real story is that I've always admired him and one day, I sent him a friendly note by mail to his office and suggested that we meet up for coffee. He texted me when he received the note. So we said hello to each other etc. and he asked how I got his office address (from my friend) and now I'm confused. Help me.

Maybe one of these days? Ask him if he can be more specific. Suggest a day and a time to go, if he keeps putting you off after you've done this a few times it probably wasn't a good idea to ask him

Thats a polite NO. without hurting your feelings . I wouldn't email him again or text him. Leave him alone now.

He might think that you are stalking him. He probably freaked out by your approach.
