I was allowed to go on dates when I was 16. In hindsight I probably wasn't emotionally "ready" to date until then, anyway. At the time I thought it was terrible, of course. :)

I was 13, and she was 16. We went out several times, and went steady for about 6 months or so.. We eventually broke up, and we are still distant friends now.
