I would like some pointers on becoming a fanatic?

1. Make sure you think you are right and everyone else is wrong!
2. Make sure you rejoice in this and tell everyone whether they want to hear you or not!
3. Want to see the "end times" -not because you want to see Christ but because you can laugh and point at all the people who didn't believe you as they are chucked in to hell....
4. Refuse to think anyone can have a relationship with the divine that isn't exactly like yours.
5. Be as hypocritical as possible!!! (v important!)
6. Develop the ability to interpret the scriptures to suit your position - no matter how ridiculous your version of the meaning is!
7. Learn to build "straw man arguments"

That's probably not all but it WILL get you started!

You need to be able to type pages and pages of misquotes from books or other sources. Also learn to SHOUT LIKE THIS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. Typically, those wuth gud grimer nide knot uply.
You should probably repeat things that more moderate people say but not as clearly, and way later when it has nothing to do with the rest of the conversation.
Never think anything is funny, except after you've typed pages of malicious attacks against any other point of view. After you have wasted everyone's time with terrible logic, it's okay to throw in a "ha, ha" as if you had won a pi--ing contest.
But other than a little glee in your own malice, all serious, all the time. Especially, you will want to attack other fanatics, but if you can hurt some innocent moderates in the process, all the better.
Don't ever answer the question, but talk around it any say what it's on your agenda to say -- the less relevant, the better.
And its okay to change your position, just don't admit it. And be even more fanatical with your new one.

Honestly, though, its a stupid question. Its much more useful to turn people around you into fanatics who believe whatever you tell them.

Pointers on being a fanatic....a fanatic what? I guess it really doesn't matter. Pick what you want to be fanatic about and than start by getting on this forum and insulting everyone that has a different opinion than yours on what you are fanatic about. Ask questions that are really less about asking questions and more about insulting individuals that don't share your view.

Go on, now! Every second you waste reading these replies is a second you could have gone on to insult someone. I suppose it gives some people a rush; maybe it will do the same for you.

Fanatic... the root word of 'fan.' What are you a fan of? Are you obsessed by somehing in particular? Is your focus on any one person, place or thing? Some fanatics are more involved in the target of their obsession than others. Are you totally consumed by thoughts of one single thing?

Honestly, are you bored out of your skull or just plain dumb? Do I have to remind you that people died every day of the past 5000+ years because of fanaticism of some sort. *Hint: this is when you are all supposed to remember the Holocaust, the Balkan Wars, 9/11, etc.*

Believe really, really hard! Ignore facts! Attack anyone who questions you, your god, or your motives.

Wear tacky clothes, keep your eyes really wide open, and start a movement.

Above all, create an enemy. Demonize the enemy. Point to harmless activities on his part as "evidence" of his demonic intent.
