My point exactly, but not as you probably think. Paul was a depressed Sanhedrin, no wife, no children, no qualification as a Sanhedrin (they were required to me married). He joined the other high Jews, and codemned Jesus. Then after the crucifixion, Paul concocted some story to claim he had a special insight into what Jesus was really doing at the cross.
-- Please, Don't get me started about how Paul corrupted Jesus' messages and purpose for coming to Earth. - Compare why Jesus said he came to Earth, with the fairy tale Paul told about why Jesus came to Earth. --
Sorry Bible Thumpers. You are going to have be responsible for your own sins. Jesus told you how to handle them, Paul tells you ---- "don't worry about them". He said, "You are saved by grace, through faith" (Faith in Jesus' wisdom and instructions?) Paul said faith in faith, faith in Jesus' blood. (Now, what the heck does that mean, outside of Paul's gibberish.)

Paul was not one of the twelve disciples. At first, he did not believe in Jesus at all. After Jesus's death and ascension, Paul, as a devout Jew, fought the new Christian missionaries.
One day, while Paul was traveling, he had a spiritual vision where he saw Jesus surrounded by light.
Paul converted to Christianity and went on to write about half the New Testament.
Many Christians argue that his writings are flawed because he was not a real disciple, and he was known to argue with Peter.

Paul was a Pharisee who persecuted the church after Jesus ascended into heaven. He was converted when Jesus appeared to him on the Damascus Road and he never betrayed Jesus after that.

Jesus was born, lived and died as a Jew...all his teachings come from the Torah...actually he was a rabbi discussing the Torah...Jesus never ever founded a new religion, he is not the founder of Christianity...and yes i agree his teachings are all about love and tolerance-Paul distorted his message in my opinion.

Yep! Not Jesus per-say but he did betray a lot of Jesus followers and Disciples by having them brought before the Pharisees and for there beliefs they where stoned to death! Book of Acts: 8:3. As for Saul (Paul was called Saul at first his Jewish name), he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and woman, committing them to prison. There fore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Paul help convict one of Jesus Disciples Stephen by stoning him to death! Acts 7:57-60, 8:1 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man name Saul. And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord do not charge them with sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Now Saul was consenting to his death. You see everyone of us betrays Jesus at one point or another in are lives but he forgives you and me because he died for you and me on the cross for are sins!

Well Paul used to persecute christians before his conversion....arresting them and bringing them in to be killed. He wasn't a christian at this time obviously so couldn't "betray" Christ.

He didn't know him before Jesus called him on the road to Damascus. Before that he persecuted the church.
edit:
He was the most zealous apostle and we owe him much. When I go to heaven I want to sit down and talk with him for a long, long time.

Paul, formerly saul, was a student of the great scholar gamiel and knew the old testament very well. he did not realize JESUS was the MESSIAH and engaged in persecuting the CHRISTIANS.
GOD struck him down blind on the road to amaias. GOD said. "why kickest thou against the pricks". saul was converted and his name was changed to paul.
after this, he remained faithful to the end.
