Should I put my leftover in the fridge when it's still warm or should I let it cool down a little first?

You should put it in the fridge as soon as you are finished eating dinner. I don't know that it will hurt it to let it set out, but I was always taught to put leftovers in the fridge right away.

you can put warm leftovers in the fridge, it doesn't matter if it's cold or warm, just make sure it's not sitting next to anything cold because it will instantly make it warm.. just give it it's own shelf space and all will be good.
Also, make sure you have a good lid on your container, or else your whole fridge and some of your foods will smell like spaghetti.. lol.
Your spaghetti left overs should stay fresh for about 4 days, just make sure you heat up left overs as seperate servings, and not the whole container unless you plan to eat the whole container.
If you re-heat again and then don't finish it, you can't put it back in the fridge because then it won't be any good.. the noodles will get funky and start smelling like crazy!

Good Luck!

Love left over spaghetti!! The waiting til it cools down is a wives tale. You should put it in the fridge when you finish with it, even if it is still warm. Be careful that you don't put a hot dish in the fridge on a glass shelf, other than that you should be fine.

Unless you're gonna stick a couple gallons of it in there, it should cool down nicely. If you're really gonna stick that much in there, divide it into several smaller containers - ziplock bags work well - so that it will cool quickly and not be so prone to grow nasty germs as it would if you put it in there in one big container. But don't defeat the purpose of using multiple small containers by stacking the containers together in a pile...

Either is fine, if I am in a hurry when cleaning up after dinner it goes right in the fridge! No harm done!

Enjoy your leftovers.

You should probably let it cool a little so that your fridge doesn't get too warm.

Let it cool a little. As for spaghetti, Mix the sauce and the noodle in order to save it. (and when you reheat it, put a little american cheese on top before you microwave it and I find it to be a great taste).

Let it set out, while you eat. Then, put it in the fridge. Mix the noodles and sauce together. Funny you mention this, I just did this tonight.
