Generally teachers are fair to all students but there are some who may pay more attention to certain students for various reasons
1) the student may be related to her or the principle
2) the student needs more attention for reason of being a slow learner.
3) the student is brilliant and needed more push to excel further
4) for Girls - many other reasons e.g attraction, if male teacher interested ( sexually or otherwise).
Good Luck

Yeah, I do. I think everybody gives more attention to someone who is attractive vs. someone who isn't. It's just natural...and everyone has their idea of what is attractive. Teachers are human, too but they need to have their boundaries because some teachers cross that line and risk their jobs and reputations...which is a shame because it's not worth it. Look at all those years they spent on their education and some throw it away for some silly crush on a student. That's not smart, but they are just human and when they see an attractive student, they are attracted in some way, I'm sure. It's not fair to someone who is unattractive, I know. This is just the way of the world and human nature.

I think that that happens very often even though everyone is suppossed to get equal attention. Some of the not to good looking kids are usually quiet and the attractive just know how to talk to a teacher and make them like them. But you know whatever....life isnt always fair and it never will be. Anyway, I hope it doesnt hurt you if you are the one who doesnt get attention.

Sad to say in my opinion I think this may be true. Especially if the teacher is a man. Its not right or fair. I am not saying all teachers, but I remember when I was in school and yes, pretty girls seemed to get more attention...its just nature.

Like Male teachers? I would be a little offended if someone accused me of that. I think what happens is that the more attractive girls are generally the more outgoing girls and will be less reluctant to ask for help. In my class the squeaky wheel gets the grease when it's a free for all.

I don't think that attractiveness plays a role for most teachers, however I do believe that girls are usually more eager and persistent on learning than guys...at least in K-12.

I think for the most part, people that are teachers do it because it is their passion, and they want to help others. So, I think that most teachers are not prejudice, but ofcourse teachers are just regular people, and I'm sure there are a few who show partiality.

I personally do not believe that. It may just be that the attractive student asks more questions or looks more alert and feels like learning than the one whose head is always on the desk.
