I kind of like the blue. But, I would probably have some contrasting color behind it. Sort of highlighting the outline.

Color selection for something like this would be based on personal choice. I am partial to blue but that is just me.

On a color theory basis, considering primary colors - blue lasts the longest, followed by red, then yellow. So, for instance if you chose green, theoretically it would not last as long as blue because of the added yellow to create the green.

When all is considered, much has to do with the location on the body, i.e., how much sun exposure it gets and how well it is protected with sunblock, etc.

as long as its permanent, it cant smudge or smear. If u want to get white, and the artist says that the white wont last, go somewehere else, bc that person doesnt kno how to use white. no, its not worth jepordizing the look for it to last longer, when you are older, and your skin's not whwre it once was, it wont matter, i'd go all out, and get the color done, i have 3 colored in roses, and i love them, but i am well a ware that wen im older, its not gona be the same. Live life, now, and enjoy it!!!

Go with all black and instead of blue just have it shaded... that would look the best..

PS: Think it through before you get one. I dont know if this is your first tat or not, personally I dont care... all I am saying is I got one about a month ago and regret it. Not because I dont like the tattoo I picked out (I drew it up, its custom by me) but because the tattoo artist didnt do a good job...

If you go ahead with the tat, go to the best tattoo shop you can. You get what you pay for!

People are willing to pay thousands and thousands of dollars for a car that they will keep for a few years, but cheap out when they get a tattoo... something that will be with them forever.

If you really feel you need the tattoo go for it, and i wish you the best of luck with it.

With that said, I suggest you use your words to let people know the kind of person you are, not your skin.

Wish I had.

depends on the color of your skin. if you're very pale, you can get away with almost anything. i think a darker shade of blue... or any dark color just because you are the only people who can make it look good. the darker your skin, the brighter your tattoo will have to be in order to show up the way you want. if you are tan, i would suggest a bright turquoise.

Bluen and yellow are both good as far as fading goes. Avoid red though unless you want to go back for a lot of touchups because like anything else red seems to fade the fastst. But as far as appearances I think the blue looks fine. Either that of shaded in just greyscale becaue it doesnt look good to mix color and grey tattoos. It depends on what you plan on getting in the future or what you allreay have.

I like it the way it is. I agree with Hunting Wabbit
it depends on the color of your skin as to how light or
dark blue it should be.

I like it how it is.

All colours will eventually fade so you could use grey in place of the blue, which would last longer.

I would leave it blue if I were you.

i like the color that it is and think any other color would
look equally nice but, i'm not sure about any particular colors
lasting longer than others.
