You can't. The only thing you can have is faith and believe that there is a higher intelligence than us that will somehow revive us in some way. We tend to believe that life after death is something great (what are minds allow us to think in order to ease the pain of a possible somber reality) it is simply a coping mechanism for death the ulitimate sense.
I say believing and having faith is something is good for each and every one of us.
Forget the all the medium stuff, the world is full of great unexplainable coincidences, and more than a fair share of mediums have given a world of hurt to well intentioned believers. I do not however possess an ability to say that a medium is fake, I also have no way of proving this and have witnessed some amazing and sometimes unexplainable occurences. However, once away from the situation, reality sets back in and I am less and less impressed over time. Especially, when you look at the world as a whole. Keep an open mind to everything and enjoy the now because if there is nothing more, hopefully you enjoyed your life.

You cannot know, but you can have faith that there is an afterlife.

First of all, there is overwhelming evidence all around that God exists. For example, have you ever seen an autopsy? It was difficult for me not to believe after I saw the actual organs inside the body and fascinating how these could function together with completely separate functions. How could this have evolved entirely from plankton? How could this human machine of organs be possible without a design or creator?

Secondly, Blaise Pascal was a great mathematician. He waged others that there was a God and that if you believed, you would have the probability of an eternity of happiness. If you waged against God, then there was a probability that you would have an unpleasant afterlife. So given the two options, the Wager for God is a better decision because it is the more logical choice. There is no proof about the Bible, but if you choose for God, then one would believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Also, I think a lot of people are in denial. All you have to do is REALLY look around at the complexity and design of life and how can a person not believe in a creator?

Thirdly, can you prove God does not exist? I certainly cannot and neither can anyone else....... I choose God......

I guess you have to trust your instinct, mine is with God.
There is a guy in New York who does a radio program...very expensive, but if you have it...spread it. I think his name is George Anderson. He doesn't advertise himself the way, say Sylvia Brown, does, but he is supposed to be the best.

There is a town in New York state, Lilydale, that is supposed to be inhabited by mediums. They also admit to some hoaxing, so do be cautious.

I went to see John Edward in Indianapolis a few years ago. Of course, I didn't get called upon, but I could feel the presence of my favorite aunt there. Whether he is staged or not is not really worth debating, his overall message was fantastic and seemed to be a personal comfort to everyone there.

There are books that tell experiences of afterlife experiences.

I wish you luck in your search and someday, I'll see you in God's mansion.

I'll tell ya when it happens if possible

other than that, no one has yet to come back save have thier words published after death and their ideas keep life and replicate onwards and keep thier names in our mouths, or life after (their) death

You weren't meant to "know", you have to have faith.

I guess I'm curious? Whay does it matter? If there is, great! If not, and you merely cease to exist - so? It's not like you could do anything about it.

Concentrate on helping others and responsibly enjoying your stay here in the right here and now.

Trust your feelings, kin your enthusiasm, love with attitude, caress with passion, effort within. There shall be truth, not just the unsurmountable passion lacking dispair and affliction. Be fair and all comes to mind, be acute with reality and it shall show you its miracles, be next to change and surrender the world to your posture, be one with your needs and have it all. With constancy there comes determination, the only attribute needed to comprehend things beyond and away from existance, religion or truth. Know them, and know what you are to be, not overcome. Victory is delussion, no more. Do you believe now?
don´t waste my time.

Peace!
We know from the fact of Christ's own resurrection - 'the first fruit of those who have fallen asleep' - (1 Corinthians 15,20) and from Christ's own promise: 'he who eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood has eternal life and I will raise him up at the last day.' (John 6,54}.
