Poor thing..well there really isn't anything you can do he has to wear it he has to just hang in there for a lil while. i don't think confining him in a small bathroom is good it will just freak him out more. Just shut your bedroom door. Brush him calm him down give him attention and let him know he will be ok.
Good Luck!!

Please just give him TLC (tender loving care)! He is feeling miserable & more than likey embarrassed!!
My husky used 2 have 2 wear the plastic 4 2 weeks because where her dog house is under the trees the sap would fall on 2 her ear & then the flies would come 4 the sap on her ear & make her bleed! We took her 2 the vet & he cleaned it 4 us & put the cone on her & she tried 2 get as small possible!! When we got home she hid under the table & would not eat! After abt a hr of this I put her in my bed & she slept w/ me. She died in May & I still have her cone!! She was so depressed that she lost 20 lbs in those 2 weeks!! When she had the cone on she didn't eat or drink or go out 2 use the bathroom!! The vet said this was normal & we just gave her alot of attention!! She would b fine till She went back out side then w/ in 3 days the process started all over again!! Finally we just kept her in the house when she turned 8 (That was a birthday present 4 her) she was 16 when she passed away!!
I hope this helps!! Please just give her more affection but no not put her in a place by herself she will think she has done something wrong & b more miserable!!!!
How would u feel 2 have a cone on ur head 4 something that was not ur fault then ur parents locking u in a room from the outside so u couldn't get out & out of sight so they could sleep- that is what u would b doing 2 her!!
Good Luck!!

My dog just went throught the same thing. The cone is so hard at first and it was hard for him to get around without hitting anything. By the third day the cone had softened up a bit and he was able to move around pretty well. By the end of the first week, he learned to use the cone as a tool to push around his sister. I think he kind of missed it when we took it off. Whatever you do, don't take it off. A fried of mine took his dog's cone off early and was back at the vet a day later and had to start the process all over. Good luck!

Yes confining is good idea, he'll have less room to run into stuff :) Those cones take a little getting used to for the dog & the owners. But after a few days the dog should learn how to get around w/ it.

Confine him like the others said, and leave the cone on or here come the back leg claws to scratch the stitches out and make things worse.
He'll learn to deal with it and spend a lot of time staring at you accusingly, but it's for his own good.
Our dog got even by ramming us in the backs of our knees with his. We were ALL glad when it finally was time to take if off!

I know what its like, but imagine what its like for the poor dog. What you can do is let him in to one area-your bedroom or kitchen to sleep. He's just really scared about the whole new thing and he wants any kind of comfort he can get. Stay with him when he is outside-he doesn't have peripheral vision right now. That plastic thing will come off soon enough.

Like everyone says, confining is a good idea b/c he's going to be very annoyed and angry that he has to wear that thing. Depending on how long he has to wear it or how long you can't stand watching him bang into things.....go buy him the Soft-E-Collar....soft being the key word. It's different from that hard confining regualar E-Collar (Elizabethan Collar) he's already wearing. Search for it, a lot of places sell it, so find the price you like.

The cone is to protect the wound from the dog licking or chewing on it. The dog will get use to in and it will be fine

Its normal for them to bump into things at first with the cone on, but he will get use to it and adapt to it. He must keep it on for protection.
