They don't die of depression if you give a lot of love and attention. Pet her and hand feed her and she'll recoup.

I'm sorry to hear that and I think you should give a lot of attention your other cat like pet her often and feed her healthy food from vet and keep her full attention as much as possible ( to observe if she will suffer from depression) but like answerer 3 said, your cat will feel lonely without a mate so you can get a new companion to her. Sometimes, putting down your pet is a better way to ease their pain than letting them suffering from pain.

She won't die from depression it might make her depressed but she won't die from it. Is there any way you don't have to put your cat down? Thats so sad and if you have to just give her daughter so much love she will be sick.
Best wishes

You'll be grieving too, which I think is the issue behind your question. Don't forget to acknowledge your other cat's grief, that you've both suffered a loss, and the cat will survive. In other words, you can each be a source of comfort to the other.

She wont die, she may get a little upset and meow sometimes because she misses her.
You could possibly consider getting another cat for her to love.
Or you could just give her lots of attention and make her feel loved, if you dont want to get another pet.
I'm sorry about your cat, and good luck.

You both will be very sad for some time. So you'll give a lot of attention to each other, and survive it. Don't worry, just love and pet your kitty, and she'll be fine, just like you. Love and time will heal you both.
