Hi! I am 5'3 1/2 also and 125.
I am not overwieght. We are both average. However I am on a diet to lose 1.5 lbs a week. According to our height and weight, we should only eat 1200 calories a day in order to lose 1.5 a week....
But no, we arent overweight. We are average. ESPECIALY if you have muscle mass.

For females it should be 100 lbs for the first 5 feet then an additional 5 lbs for every inch over that. Your ideal weight would be 115 plus or minus 10 lbs which would put you right in the ball park.
To lose 5 lbs it's just a matter of cutting down your sugar fat and carbs and increasing your protein. I didn't say cut out all the other things, just cut them down. Then if you want to lose it quickly try walking 3 miles a day for a week. You'll be lucky if you only lose 5 lbs.

Easy to lose 5 pounds! Take the stairs everywhere instead of the elevator. Get on the floor and do some crunches, or jump rope every day for a few weeks. The easiest way to lose weight is to stop drinking your calories and switch to water. If you do all of these things, you could probably lose 5 - 10 pounds in 6 weeks.
Good luck!

It doesn't sound like you are overweight to me. But if you want to loose a few pounds, one of the best things to do is stop eating at least 2 hrs. before bedtime. I make my dinner at 5-6 pm the last thing I eat at night. Only eat a meal when you will be active shortly afterwards so you can burn the calories. That and a couple of crunches every night (20-25) helped me loose almost 50 lbs. over the course of 6 mnths.

i'm 5'3 and about 120-125 pounds as well.
i don't think we are overweight. i think we are average.
depends on your perception really.
i, in my eyes think i can still love a good 15 pounds, but that's just me.
it all depends again on how you LOOK. do you feel comfortable in clothes? or being in a bathing suit?
i've very self concious so i am dieting and exercising.
if you are normally not very active and were not an athlete in your past then just walk/running 1 1/2 miles a couple times a week will get you 5lbs extremely fast.
otherwise, just exercise and eat right. no more than 1200 calories a day and eat good stuff, no fast food!
you can do it! 5lbs is nothin' girl!
and i think we "average girls" look damn good so ;) haha

You are definitely a healthy weight. You have a BMI of between 21.5-22.1.
If you want to lose a few pounds and tone up, that is ok. But you are not anywhere near becoming overweight, and it would be absolutely fine to stay as you are.
HTH : )

That is a healthy weight to be at. You don't need to lose 5lbs.
(a good way to start losing weight is to stop drinking soda and drink more water. Cut back on meat and excercise. You probably won't be able to lose much weight because you are already at the proper weight.)
