Well hes three years older than me (im 15, hes 18) and i REALLY like him, maybe even love him. We've known each other since we were both really young and have been good friends for a while so i trust him not to do anything bad or unethical. but is it ok for us to date even if we dont do anything wrong(have sex)?

something is bothering me. does it mean that if a guy asks you out he wants to do something bad to you? and do you have to do something wrong when you go out on a date?

i thought dates are supposed to be a way of getting to know a person better & sharing a nice moment together with a special person. not a chance to have sex with somebody.

you are thinking of way too many issues regarding your would-be date. calm down. there's nothing wrong with going out with a guy 3 years older than you. as long as it's a friendly date. which might be just what he has in mind.

if he does do anything bad or unethical, i think you are old enough to know how to deal with it properly. it's up to you actually. if you allow him to do stuff which are bad or unethical, or leading to it, then he would really do it.

Interesting that you feel having sex is wrong, but being a guy I can guarantee no normal 18 yr old guy will feel the same way. My advice is stay friends for now; as you both get older that 3 yr age difference will melt away as will your present ideas about sex.

NO, absolutely NOT! you are 15 UNDER AGE and he is 18 TOO OLD for you at this time, this is ILLEGAL. I promise you that if you keep talking to him, seeing him & especially dating him. He will be prosecuted for dating a minor. He will go to jail for this, that is definite. You need to tell him that he has to wait until you are 18 years old to date you because that is THE LAW. Unless of course he wants to go to JAIL for STATUTORY RAPE. That's what they call it, even though there is no rape. AND don't try to say you won't have sex because every teenage relationship will lead to this even though you don't plan it. 18 year old guys love to take advantage of young teenage girls. Of course, you won't believe it now because your "in love" and he's got you hypnotized to believe of how sweet of a guy he can be, but trust me on this one, all young women start out naive & end up regretting things later in life when they become adults. You do not want to be involved with a 18 year old guy who is NOT smart enough to know that dating a 15 year old girl is OFF LIMITS. and to even use the word LOVE to hypnotize you into "dating him without sex" is down right CONNIVING. a definite plot to get you in bed & out of your panties convinced that this is all happening because of love. BE SMART and say NO. find another guy your age if you want a boyfriend. NO 18 year olds & over. not until your 18th birthday.

The unethical parts a tough one, that will keep me tossing and turning tonight trying to figure out how that plays a role in all of this.

But, I'm sorry; that was a smart a&& prelim answer.

If you trust him and he is your friend than go with what you feel. And PS he can't do anything bad to you unless you let him, or any man. You do have a choice on how your life will be and no man can change that.

NO do not go out with him. He is simply too old for you at this point. He is an adult and should be dating adult females not minors. Just because nothing hasn't happened yet doesn't mean that it can't happen and just one slip up and he will be heading to prison and a roomie named Bubba.

ask your mom and dad.theres no need to get him in trouble. his parents should have told him when he turned 18 he could only date women 18 and older.

i think your waaaaaay too young to eve think about love...trust me when youre his age you will agree...but ask your parents first, see what they think, if not, than theres a reason they say no.
