Given: 1000 people ; Women = 60% = 600;
(Women w/ 1 earring = 40% of 600 = 240;
(Women w/ 2 earring = (600 - 240) / 2 = 180;
(Women w/ none) = 180

Men = 400;
(Men w/ one earring) = 60% of 400 = 240;
(Men w/ two earring) = (400 - 240)/ 2 = 80;
(men w/ none) = 80

Total earrings = Women: [(240 + (180 x 2)] + Men: [(240 + (80 x 2) ] = 1000 earrings!!!!!
