My sister and her boyfriend have been dating for almost 3 years now. They are very much in love. His mother loves her and treats her like the daughter that she never had. My sister and her boyfriend have been talking about possibly getting married really soon so that they can finally be together legally. Some of our relatives think that she should wait. They don't think that he would be a good husband for her but I do't see anything wrong with it. My sister and her boyfriend are very excited about spending the rest of their lives together. Why shouldn't my 33 year old sister marry her 13 year old boyfriend??

Let me tell you why not ... A 13 year old is in the development stage of his young life , yes he might act like an adult , seem to be mature etc. but his brain has not completed its development process to adulthood ,also he still have two more spurts of growth in height and body change , and his thinking is by nature still in the age of a teenager , developing ... consequently when he reaches his early adulthood of say 21-22, he will by nature think differently than he did at 13 ,so if he gets married ,you can bet there will culminate in fights and divorce ,because as he matures he will see how his childhood was stolen and he will grieve it and be angry and your sister of 33 now will be 44-45 a cougar at that age and will have harder time to find some one new , and also legally is against the law for an adult to involve a youngster under age into a relation of any sort other than being his mother.

There are a lot of reasons but first, she should get some counseling as to why someone that young appeals to her rather than someone her own age. If she loves him, she would wait for at least 7 years when he finds out for himself who he is and what he wants in life. It is illegal so that she could end up in jail for even having the relationship and when he is 21 and old enough to want to cruise the bars she may be where she wants him home with her and the relationship would end then anyhow.

Are you seriours?Did you even think about this before wanting to ask.That's just sick,13 yr old boy dating him mom 33 yr. old mom.First of all if she wants to be with someone that age,she needs to be in a mental institute.Age does not matter but that is beyond the limit for that saying.What if they have kids think of how embarrased kids would be later on life,they would be ashamed,and get teased by kids.Please have a talk with your sister & explain she need to really think about this,and ask god,b.c if she considers marrying this boy,she needs serious help.The boy is just maturing,let him be a boy & group.She needs to be a woman,be stronger,and have more intelligence
