Actually you should question the things you are told for example the Apostle Paul commended a group in Acts 17:11 for constantly examining the scriptures daily to see if what they were being told was true or not so by all means ask questions get answers if they are Biblical in nature i can help you can E-Mail me any time best wishes gorbalizer

Not everything you're told is the truth. If you lived in the time post-Magellen, you'd believe the earth was flat, which isn't life-threatening, but it's still not the truth. And if you grew up in Nazi Germany, you'd probably believe that Jews, Roma, homosexuals, etc. were evil, which is a terrible belief and simply untrue.
Not to say that you should question everything you're told, but it's always good to, especially with things your gut tells you is wrong.

The first century Christians questioned what they were told. Acts 17:11 states, "...for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so."

If your questioning it, then you do not truely believe in it. There for you have no question to answer. If you have a idea, then ask the right people that you trust ( not just some person on yahoo) questions and then some day you might form a belief.

You should always question things in a healthy way; willing to seek answers, not just denying an issue because you do question it. But be willing to have faith when the issue has shown itself true to you. Even God calls us to question when he says in Isaiah 'Come, let us reason together...' You will have a much stronger belief in something (a fact, a person, God) and a much stronger foundation to stand on when you have discovered the answer for yourself and can speak intelligently about it.

Whoever told you that should not be listened to. My pastor before he died was a Philosophies of Education graduate from Stanford University. People who thought that it wasn't right to ask questions didn't last too long there.

I feel you should question what your told to believe. Make people prove it to you. That's one of the many reasons I left the Lutheran faith years ago, because no one would or could prove anything to me.

Question everything always, question me I am just a man, I lie, i am sometimes selfish, I can be manipulative, hell I even question myself. I was raised by Jews on my fathers side and Catholics on my mothers. I have learned that you should see who has what if anything to gain by your belief or disbelief.

You should make sure you satisfy your questions and you can only do that by asking. Those who would tell you not to question don't know the answers and don't want to look stupid... Jim
