My daughter is 14 and lives with her Dad in another state. She has been asking me to come and live with them or move with them to another state since my ex is moving due to job reasons.

She cried with me on the phone and really requested me to come back. I live in another state.

Then, she left another message for me saying that she was very hurt and I should not call or IM her anymore. We used to talk every other day on the phone and IM each day.

I feel very sad because I have hurt her by my actions. I don't know how to make it up to her.

She deleted me as a friend on her facebook. She is very upset and angry with me.

Her Dad and grandmother are telling me to come and live in the house where she is living until she finishes school this semester. I feel like doing this to show her that I do care for her.

It would be an adjustment for me. I feel very sad inside when I see others take such good care of their kids.

If you can do it,, try going there to support her. Perhaps he regrets the break up with you and she sees that and would like to see the two of you together again. If you felt enough to have a child together that may be worth exploring. I don't think normally the grandmother would agree to that if she wanted her son to move on with someone else so you may be treated as a princess if you do that and at least you can repair the bond with your daughter.

No one can answer this, only you know why you are apart in the first place. Sounds like being apart is your idea, since your daughter is with other members of the family.
A daughter needs the love, support and caring of a loving Mother.
.Listen to your heart and if you know how to pray then pray about your decision.
Good luck in the future. Life is as good as we make it.~~Jill

Wow. My mom is my biggest idol. I dont know where I would be without her. I am 15 and seriously the one person that I need the most at this time in my life is my mom. Having a mom in a teenage girls life is HUGE. Its big from "mom I need boy advice" to "God my best friend is being a *****" we need a mom because unlike dads, you were once a teen age GIRL. its just huge to have a mom. Just show your daughter you love her because that's so important. Good Luck!

Coming from a 12 year old, sometimes it just takes time. However, to speed this process up, you could take some of her interests and turn it into a surprise of some sort. For example, if she plays soccer, show up to one of her soccer games unexpectedly. I hope this helps!

I think as a mother you should put your child's needs ahead of your own. She obviously is hurting & misses you terribly. What mother wouldn't go to her child when they are in such pain?

You have your life and she has her life WITH DAD!! if she wants to be with you then she should live with you.. To make up to her just open the communication,,, but it sounds like she is trying emotional blackmail,, wait till the next time she doesn't get her way.. what will you be giving up then??
