The Pascal's Wager question comes up a lot from Christians. So I wonder what percentage of them are gaming God?

Excellent question !! They throw that one at atheists all the time.
I'm curious to hear the flustered denials that they are gambling with eternity.

Has every person right here been following the efforts of China to freshen up the air in Beijing? the reason I ask is by the fact the smog there is in many circumstances so thick that individuals who stay there very almost on no account see the solar. The athletes competing there are apprehensive concerning the unfavourable impact the pollutants might have on their overall performance.Beijing is city with a inhabitants of 60 million human beings and over 3 million automobiles and countless factories. they have close down all the factories for the size of the Olympics and stopped ninety% of the automobiles from being on the line, and nevertheless the skies are crammed with smog. a similar pollutants that reasons smog kills a minimum of two million human beings a 365 days from top respiratory illnesses, reason adequate to shrink emissions of CO2. a similar concern that reasons international warming kills human beings. what's difficult to understand approximately that? this is not a advertising technique as somebody thinks it is particularly real. If for no different reason we'd desire to shrink the emissions of greenhouse gases for well-being purposes. you're no longer gaining something by ability of denying that it is occurring and it will purely worsen. very final component i believe it is naive to think of that the failings we do could have a unfavourable impact in the international. we can purely shrink down lots of rainforests to make room for greater farm animals so which you would be able to get inexpensive burgers from McDonald's formerly some thing provides.

I think a sincere Christian knows that God is aware of their heart's intentions. There is no "gaming" God. When I was a young kid I probably followed the Pascal's wager point of view. Today, as a mature Christian, I am well beyond that. I truly believe that God is real, I feel his presence and his peace, I know that his hand is on my life, and I could not make it without him.

I'm a Christian, and I do not use Pascal's Wager. However, Star Trek (the original series) did - one of the better episodes.

Christians don't play Pascal's game.

The game is for non believers to hedge their bet.

I only hear the atheists mention it. I didn't even know what it was until a short time ago. I am a Christian and if someone wants to hear about the Lord, come and talk to me. I'm not going to push it on anyone.

Given the number of times I've been asked "What if you're wrong? Wouldn't it be better to err on the side of caution just in case you are?" there must be quite a few of them allowing their personal fear to control them.
