Our theme is black and white. Half of our tables will have black tablecloths with white settings, and half of them will have white tablecloths with black settings. I can't seem to find any creative ideas for centerpieces. I saw tall trumpet vases with feathers which were beautiful, however I can't find the feathers that go in them. Any ideas for black and white centerpieces?

What about a square glass mirror with a glass bowl on top. Fill the bowl with water and place floating candles that are white on top of the water for the tables that are black, and black candles on top of the water for the tables that are white. Fill the bottom of the bowls with black and white glass beads. That can all be purchased at any of your local craft stores. Go to any candle store near you to find the black and white candles or check on line to order them in bulk. I know yankeecandle.com has black candles. They smell like the cologne Drakkar, it's called Midsummer's Night. It's my favorite scent. lol Here is the link to their votive candle colors and scents.

Just a thought, as I have done flowers for a couple weddings because I have extensive gardens...you should consider making the centerpieces low so people can talk across the tables. I have seen a number of tall centerpieces moved off tables if too tall because of this, and even knocked over.
A couple of cool ideas I have seen involved using a mirror tile under a vase, tealight candles on the mirror tile, packets of shiny confetti and curly ribbon. A small clutch of same type flowers wrapped together and interspersed with baby's breath tightly collected into a small crystal or white or black vase could be very effective.
Check out Martha Stewart's wedding book.

I actually saw those feather centerpieces too. If you google ostrich feathers you can find them. Another idea is just calla lilies in a tall vase, leave the stems long and dramatic. That and some candles will look gorgeous. I don't think you need to alternate the centerpieces, or even have both colors (because you will already have both colors on the table).

I've actually seen black cala lilies and black roses - both gorgeous. They'd be very unique, screw the superstition. Or you can do white roses, cala lilies, etc. I'd do small centerpieces; short glass vases, short tins, maybe an array of sizes (about 3). If you wanna go into candles I'd do the natural colors in an array of sizes on a plate. Check out theknot.com and u can search by color. Check out http://www.jamaligardens.com and they have vases, etc. that are set up and can give you some good ideas. Try searching for wholesale and crafts for feathers.

With those trumpet vases, you could have a big bunch of baby's breath in them. Since the baby's breath is white, take some black ribbon and have it flow through the stems of the flowers and then down the sides of the vase. Curl up the ends or have small notes at the ends of them, with your monogram, a love quote, etc. Be creative!

I'm assuming you've tried craft stores for the feathers? You could search online too.
The black & white idea sounds elegant and beautiful.
I wish I had other ideas for centerpieces, but I had to ask for help with that on here myself.
Congratulations

Note: Be very careful about having centerpieces too tall. Guests like to see the person across the table from them.

How about doing a white flower (white roses or calla lillies) and filling a vase with dark/black stones. I think that would look elegant. It might be weird to have feathers near your food. Have fun planning!

You would probably need things from Vegas like card poker chips dice money all those types of things. Ur color scheme works quite wonderful. Definitely get a photo booth with Elvis sunglasses/props so ur guests have fun with that. Ooo if you can afford karaoke maybe have karaoke for fun as ur music. Overall Vegas is a type of theme that is very fun and eccentric so think of fun pieces that would go with the Vegas style. Hope that little bit helped =D
