Ok I am sick of going in to GLBT part in Y/A and seeing all you christians attacking us for the way we live our lives and who we love. Do you see us going to all your questions and attacking you for believing in god. Alot of us do believe in god, not me personally. But there are many out there.

We are people as well, you may think that we are sick and depraved, but there are many people in the christian and catholic community that do things worse then any of us would ever think of.

We arent evil. We dont all have aids and we diffently arent all child molesters. You all must know that we dont choose to be gay we are born this way and we love it.

If your god wanted us to be the same why would he make us all so different?

If I could make a suggestion.

I understand you're not a Christian, but I'm going to suggest you act like one. A REAL Christian. Don't let the naysayers deter you from the path of life and happiness. God loves you, I love you, and there are millions out there who want to love you, be ye saint or sinner (all are sinners).

Not all are so judgemental as you might think. There is love within the heart of all, some just put justice before love, vengeance before forgiveness (not in your case).

If you want to learn anything here tonight, know this. God loves you--no matter what thy judgemental hypocrites will say. I don't mean 'God loves you and wants you to turn from sin' I mean GOD LOVES YOU. PERIOD.

Many Blessings to you and yours,
RSM

Absolutely nothing wrong with being gay or bi. Then again, I'm not Christian. I don't appreciate when gay men hit on me or say certain things, but that's their life, just like my life is that of a Druid. The way I see it, if I don't want people giving me hell about the religion I chose to follow, then I can't be giving people problems about the way they run their lives. Shared respect and accepting people for who they are.

On the note of why some Christians and Catholics go nuts with their religion? Anyone that they see as a threat to their personal morals they attack. Pagans, Buddhists, Muslims, Homosexuals, Bisexuals, etc. Some of the Christians feel they need to force their religious beliefs onto others, and the only way they know how to do that, is to harass others for the way they live their lives. They need to calm down and realize that not everyone is the same. The more they spread hate to others, the more people will hate them in return.

I can't say I personally understand how you feel because I'm not in your shoes but I do see how you and others that may be gay, lesbian, bisexual etc. would be frustrated and or angry. Don't waste your breath trying to find out why they are like this or if they'll change their ways of thinking. They are set in their ways and will always discriminate against you because that is how they were taught. They will say things like 'hate the sin, not the sinner' which I don't buy for one minute. You are beautiful the way you are and don't change a thing because others' don't agree with how you live your life. As long as you are not committing any crimes, are not hurting anyone, and are doing your best to be a good person then the derogatory comments should not even faze you. Society is full of discriminating people and it's almost manditory that we wear a hard outer shell to deflect the negativities. Always remain true to yourself.

The last pope, not this Ratzinger fool, i mean John Paul II fought for gay marrige and supported homosexuals. So really opinion varies from "christian" to "christian" I personally have lost hope in most religions and decided to create my own, but dont generalise as you will come out looking like a fool.
But if you do want to generalize then maybe you should think about all the problems all the other religions have with homosexuals. Christians might give you a hard time but ive heard of some islamic folk doing much worse stuff. Just forget about religion its a waste of time.

You hit the jackpot and made sense sister!i agree with ya on that one.alot of ppl on here dont like me b/c i am a dark witch.meaning love being in the dark, live for the dark, pray in the dark, etc.i dont harm ppl,i am not evil.i worship a Goddess that is dark and has dark powers and whatnot. But She is not evil neither.we worship in a different way than the christians do maybe so,but doesnt everyone else?how about the catholics?they use the inscense of the myrr and whatever.but truthfully, witches and dark witches are the same as the christians.ppl,we have to live on this earth of the Mother Goddess of Gaia togeather, why cant we all get along peacefully without fighting each other about our beliefs?why cant the president leave the war in iraq along and let the goof balls do what they want to do and maybe they will see that america is not that bad,why cant christians leave the Wiccans,Pagans, and Witches alone for what they believe in?we believe in a Goddess and God.we dont believe in satan,we do no evil.shall never see no evil neither. We all want to go to Summerland also. But why do the christians have to be so mean?i think that we are the ones that are the peaceful ppl b/c we dont terrorize others religions.
thank you for an outstanding comment to this forum.you've made so much sense to me and to my beliefs tonight that i thank you,not for the Goddess but for the Humanity of ourselves.

There are so many things I can say about this - and all of them are positive! I just can't seem to express how much this means to me!! I'm so glad that you have come onto this section and you have posted this question. I harbor no ill feelings against you and yours. I have said this same thing, time and time again - people don't choose to be gay they are born that way. I don't think that they will listen now, but I am glad that you could speak out. I'm Christian by the way, I know that God makes everyone the way that they are supposed to be - and because of that, why would being who you are be bad?

I agree with you. I am Catholic, and I go to a Christian school, and every time someone starts to bash gay people, I kinda go off on them. Several of the people I look up to, would do anything for, and love so, so dearly are gay. If they were not in my life, I don't know if I would still be here. I sure know that they are one of the biggest parts of my world and I would fall apart without them. God never said that being gay was bad. Parts of the bible are what say that, if you read them "correctly." The bible was written by man and man is fallible. One of those people I mentioned would love to go to church, but as our town is very tiny and she is very openly gay, she can't. It always makes me feel so sad that she can't do what she really wants to just because of certain people in our town who would take it upon themselves to "cure" her.

I am so very sorry that this is happening to you. I can't even begin to understand how hard it is to be an a place where you should be able to post questions safely and have people attack you. I am not gay and I am not Christian. I am Buddhist. The most important thing that you can do is support their rights, treat people with respect, and allow them to do what makes them happy.

I wish you the best and I apologize for other people... as much as that is worth.

I totally agree with you! They think if we are not christian or even catholics that we have no morals, or sense of self worth. If you take a critical look at the way we speak, vs. the way a christian speaks we sound much more intelligent, and logical. If "God" was so good why are there so many child molesters in the church, and so many anti-gay people??
WE see the world as many different races, and sexual orientations as a blessing, they think of it as a curse. If god was so accepting, why are they hurting gay people, children, and so many races, and cultures? It is time for the world to take a hard look at Christianity, and all religions... Every one is beautiful in there own way.

I really like you, and your style! Thank you for making such a relevant question, that people really should start thinking about!

traven, I am a Christian and I am not going to defend someone who says he is a Christian and attacks anyone. You are stating beliefs that you believe to be facts which are not fact. You are in the religion section now. We are all sinners and believe it or not we are all born this way...with a sinful nature. We are by definition all sinners therefore are evil in that respect. We are born sinners and we do not live up to the law and God is righteous and therefore the wages of sin is death. it is the reason Christ came to the world to overcome temptation and to remain perfect and to sacrifice his flesh to pay the penalty of death for all who accept this atonement. God created us all and we were all sinful he is not finished with us yet but it is his plan to perfect us and he will perfect those who love the truth and understand their need for him.

They don't understand, nor are they acutally religious. And for those of you that do not come in and flame our community, thank you! You trully represent your religions. But for those of you that come in and make comments, you are going against your own beliefs.

The bible states something to the effect of "Thou shalt not judge for judgment alone is reserved to he almighty" or something like that, I do not have a bible on hand. However many people fail to understand that thier own religions prohibit them from condoning other peoples behaviors. You are sinning when you claim our activities are wrong and enforce upon us your ways. You are making a judgement. So please stop the hate, we want the same thing you all do, love!

I couldn't agree more with the traven_blood.

When it comes down to it, we are just searching for acceptance, you are all claiming to be preaching love (any many of you are please do not take this as an insult I'm refrencing to haters) but when you see us you condem and hate. Where is this love?
