the results of things people pray about are determined by a series of choices(free will). God has nothing to do with it

If praying and spending hours in prayer is a waste of time then whose time is being wasted? Is it God’s time, your time, or is it both and would you be much better employed in doing something useful anyway? Then of course prayer may well have uses beyond your usual thinking. It could, all unbeknown like. be massaging, polishing, and generally titivating your very own immortal soul to great future benefit way up in the big blue sky. Then too praying may well help you to amass Brownie points, because after all life these days does seem to be all about amassing points, whether for gas, luxuries, supermarket give-aways, or air miles for holidays, whatever, you must have the points! Then too and just possibly prayer might be pleasing to God and that can’t be bad!

Are you afraid to pray? - Don't be! God didn't give you a spirit of timidity, but one of POWER, it's time you use it. It's Satan that wants you afraid...don't let him win!

Not sure how to pray? - It's just like walking, if you can walk...you can pray!

Don't think God answers prayers? - He does! It is just in his time, and it may not be the answer you're looking for.

Don't think God could love you? - He loves us all! Red, Yellow, Black and White, we are precious in His sight!

Because God tells you "No"? - Maybe there is a reason for that, ever wondered what that might be?

Because you can't see God? - Where are you looking for God? Are you sure you're looking in the right place? He can also be found under your bed!

Always Remember:

If God brings you to it,
He will bring you through it.

Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

No prayer is not a waste of time
Prayer is the most important thing a person can do.
Listening to the answer that comes is the second
Acting upon it the third
We can talk to god and we need no one to talk to god for us
We will receive what we need and not always, what we want

We are taught to pray in accordance with the will of God. I think many people have a bad idea of what free will is. Free will allows you to make a choice as to what you believe it does not prevent God from intervening a situation.

Prayer is a really good thing, but you need to remember God is not a Genie that will grant your every wish, you need to do things for yourself or whats the point of it all, prayer is there to help you make the right choices and guide you in the right direction.

We do have free will. This is the choice to follow God or not follow God. If you don't follow God and don't pray and allow Him to intervine in your life at the times that your free will messes things up, then I guess your life turns out to be what you deserve. Adam and Eve had free will also and look what happened to them. If you pray to make better decision in your life and that His will be done, you can trust me that your life will go alot better.

praying is talking to God. it is'nt a waste of time. because prayer is just like having a conversation with your best friend. God is my best friend i talk to him like i would to my best friend. i thank for all the blessings he's given to me and i run to him when i need a shoulder to cry on. talking to God is a 2 way conversation God talks to you, you just have to be still and listen. prayer is a act of free will. when God created us he gave us free will. when God and adam walked in the garden that was fellowship and prayer. prayer is the same as having someone right there with you.

prayer is just communication with God. whatever desires are concerns that lies beneath your heart that u want to express can be expressed in prayer, but a lack of faith will not answer prayer. God loves when ppl want to talk to him. People underestimate God and don't really know him because of the way hypocrites present Him.

It's sort of a Placebo type thing!! And lotsa people on here have said, he mightn't answer your prayer directly, but he has.

Which is an excuse so they believe he actually exists

didnt you ask this yesterday or so? well, the "resulf" of free will proves to God that you want to be with Him in heaven, and you dont get what you want unless you ask... "seek and you will find, knock and the door will the opened, ask and it will be given..." praying is quite thrilling, knowing that you are talking to God, the most magnificent one to ever live and create anything. go to jesus-is-savior.com, that will show you that God does exist because the evolution theory ISNT possible.
