I pray everyday and night, before work and before bed. I pray always giving thanks for everything such as health, a home, a job , for safety for me and my family, there are so many things to be thankful for. I always pray for other people, I have many friends that are going through illness, financial problems, and family issues. I do believe that my prayers are heard and many times have seen them answered. It makes me feel good to pray, because I feel that I am letting go of things that I have no control over.

I pray to the spirit, the goddess the god call it what you will. I ask for help when I need it, support when I need it, or the strength to help others when I need it. Many times I'll pray at night, and if I messed up bad during the day, I'll pray at night for a way to make it right. I believe my prayers are heard when I make the right choices and when I succeed, but also when I fail as a means for self improvement.

I always pray to the Father, Jehovah God, through his son, Jesus Christ. I always pray in my own words but I try to remember the things in the Lord's prayer that Jesus gave first priority to:
1.) That God's name will again be sanctified or made holy.
2.) That God's kingdom government will soon begin to rule over the earth with visible results that his will be done here as it is in heaven.
3.) That my basic needs and the needs of my family would be met.
4.) That I may be forgiven if I can forgive others.
5.) That Satan not be able to pull me away from my firm resolve to do God's will.

Are you afraid to pray? - Don't be! God didn't give you a spirit of timidity, but one of POWER, it's time you use it. It's Satan that wants you afraid...don't let him win!
Not sure how to pray? - It's just like walking, if you can walk...you can pray!
Don't think God answers prayers? - He does! It is just in his time, and it may not be the answer you're looking for.
Don't think God could love you? - He loves us all! Red, Yellow, Black and White, we are precious in His sight!
Because God tells you "No"? - Maybe there is a reason for that, ever wondered what that might be?
Because you can't see God? - Where are you looking for God? Are you sure you're looking in the right place? He can also be found under your bed!
Always Remember:
If God brings you to it,
He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

I pray at night and in the morning and wake up saying a prayer. I pray for God to help me find a way to help my child.

Jesus told the disciples to pray like this,
I won't quote word for word, but I'll give you a general idea
All mighty God, Father in Heaven, Hallowed by your name,
Bless us this day our daily bread, and forgive us of our sins,
It is in the Bible, I'm not sure where, but when you pray,
you should at first acknowledge THe Greatness of our Father, then we should Thank the Lord for all that he does, and we need to talk to God often, God wants each and every one of us to have a personal relationship with him, we are his children, and we should be upfront with how we feel, God hears you, and knows your heart, inside and out. So don't ever feel like you cannot talk to God because you don't know how, and don't think God won't listen, because He is constantly listening.

I pray for nothing for myself, usually. I just pray that God is happy, because if God is happy, then I'm happy. It's just a silent prayer, from the heart.

I pray each morning on my way to work. I say a prayer specifically to the blessed virgin. I ask her to watch over me, my family and those in need. I ask her to enable me to be the best I can each day. I then thank her for getting me through the previous day and thank her for all the times I forget to say thank you. It is a calming ritual I practice each day.

I know they are listened to., I have had many answered. Thing is, sometimes they aren't answered in the time frame we would like or the way we wanted them to be answered. We have a very wise God and He knows what is best for us. I normally ask for help with whatever issues are going on in my life and that His will be done. After all sometimes we ask for things that aren't necessary and aren't apart of God's plan. Also, when you pray, make sure it is in Jesus' name and that you thank Him for what He has done....good health, a roof over your head, and on and on and on.

I think for any religion, the basic is to thank your god for what you have. Then ask for forgiveness. Afterwhich, you can continue to request for whatever you want. As to whether your prayers are listened to, it depends on how much you believe in your god, and how much faith you have in the religion.
For your information, I'm a free-thinker. Hehehe. But I do go to churches & temples.
