seroquel does work..but like many sleep aids you can become dependent on it..
my doctor recommended Melationin which is a natural supplement that you can buy at any GNC or health/vitamin store..
it really does work and your body makes it naturally, you are just taking more and there are no side effects or anything

Yeah, I have been on seroquel on and off for about two and a half years. It does help with sleep, but just be aware that each persons reaction to it is different. I found that I got dizzy spells throughout the day, and at times, had a hard time keeping my eyes open. I definitely recommend taking it about an hour or so before you're ready to go to bed, not in the morning like I had to.
Good luck.

I've take Seroquel for a little over 2 years now. I take 100 mg. and it puts me to sleep in about 30 minutes. If I take less or more, I wake up feeling groggy. 100 mg. is about right for me. I also need to get at least 6 or 7 hours of sleep or I will feel tired when I try to wake up

Seroquel is the ONLY drug that will help me sleep. It took years of trying different drugs to make me sleep and stay asleep. It works wonders for me. If I have any side effects, I don't know it.

One thing seroquel will help you sleep but that is not it's original usage it is mainly an antiphyscotic. So the side-effects are many. Try an actual sleep aid first like Ambien or Lunesta....

I take seroquel, it is anti psychotic, and I take it to help me control anger/rage, and it works very well for that, It has never made me sleepy and I do have a bit of a problem going to sleep. I do not to the best of my knowledge have any side affects , unless no anger/rage, that is totally under control and I am truly grateful

Yes, I used it before.First they had me on 50mgs, then 100mgs. The medication would dry my sinuses {hope I spelt that right}, all up and even dry my mouth up.So I couldnt breath out my nose, and if I breathed out my mouth I needed something beside me to drink all night because that was so dry.I liked seroquel at first, after so much got in my system it started having that dry effect on me. So I stopped taking them. Hope this info helps.

I heard it was supposed to be helpful for sleep, but what was funny was that my Dr. had me prescribed on it during the day. No wonder why I used to fall asleep @ school!
