y do u call a seagull the same when it is at a lake y cant u call it a lake gull

If it was on a bay you could call it a bay gull! (bagel) Actually the proper name is just gull. There are many species, over 20 are found in North American alone. Gulls can be found all over. Franklin's Gulls breed on the northern prairies!

A seagull is still a seagull even if it migrates away from the sea for awhile. Have great year.

they were probably spotted and named at the sea, when they were discoverd, thats how most animals are named or by the person who discoverd them.
