Paul also said that foul language is not only disrespectful to people around you, but to God as well.
No, I don't... In fact, I haven't cussed in like a year.. When I got saved, the unecessary disrespectful talk just left-- Where the spirit of God is, evil cannot be there.
We shouldn't cuss simply because we want to respect both God and the people around us. It's just not necessary (though the media may support it...)

I do cuss, frequently. I don't look at saying a cuss word as 'taking the name of thy Lord God' in vain. It doesn't bother me. Swearing, when Jesus said that, was probably referring to "I swear". Not a cuss word. I don't see anything wrong with it. They are only bad because society makes them so. I shall continue to cuss frequently and encourage those around me to do so.

An English professor told the class that your words are like your clothes---sometimes you dress them up and sometimes you don't. I wouldn't cuss in church but sometimes cussing is the only way to express strong feelings.
I make every effort not to take the Lord's name in vain. Cussing and swearing in the context of your question are different things.

The tongue is the most dangerous weapon we have and we can stab people with it by the things we say, or we can use it for good, Gods purpose, we can be like Abraham and be faith driven, and serve Gods purpose, or we can serve our own agendas, and Go against what God has planned, by cussing you are not serving Gods purpose, and I believe it is a sin, but we are human beings living in this world where we hear it constantly more and more all the time it seems, and then it slips out, but we must try and make change, if we don't then WHO WILL?

when I professed Christ as Lord and Savior, the first actual component that replaced for me become my language. earlier i might want to apply the Lord's call in ineffective continuously yet upon conversion this appeared to regulate right now. although I not in any respect really obdurate as a sailor, i become not in any respect shy about it. a sensible guy once advised me that cussing is a demonstration of lack of expertise. a lack of vocabulary. He become astounding. really we are sensible sufficient to go back up with extra articulate speech that would want to extra effective get for the time of what we try to say than having to sound ignorant.

No, none of us should cuss but the Bible says if any person does not sin with his tongue, that one is a perfect man. So, I cannot say that I never have--I have. I hate it when I slip but I really try not to.

You're *******-A right I do, every ******* chance I ******* get. [To Y!A: I censored myself. It's called "a joke."]
Seriously, I have been know to throw blue language around the room. It has shock value and can help make a point. I am discreet about it, most of the time. As for using god's names in vain, yeah I do that, too. I try not to do it in front of believers, because they usually start the spiel and I have to leave the room.
But "cussing" is just words, and words only hurt if you let them.

It depends on the connotation of "swear" and "cuss."
Where you aware that Yahoo turns some Bible passage words in asterisks *****
That means the Bible is using profanity that is offensive to children and some people.
If the Bible can use words that get **** on Yahoo, so can I!
