I think they need the loudness and obnoxious behaviour to make them feel secured.

There are different types of people. Straight or gay, loud and obnoxious is ridiculous. In straight people, "loud and obnoxious" means he/she's a jerk. In gays, it means they're the type of gay called a queen, or a flaming queen. Remember there are jerks who think they're honoring you with their presence, or being obnoxious in bars about sports. In women, the jerks are the ones who must draw attention to themselves. Both jerks and queens are the way they are, and all you can do is leave and go someplace more enjoyable.
I just remembered though, the Chinese restaurant years ago. It was a midafternoon hour, and our table of about eight was the only table being used, until another crowd of about eight entered. That crowd was headed by a jerk. They seated themselves in the same large room, about four tables away, obviously within hearing distance. There may or may not have been alcohol involved, which is no excuse.
This guy was running the show: telling everybody where to sit, laughing too loud, saying everything he said in a voice that completely obliterated any chance for us to even hear each other. He and his crew were all in suits; the women in office attire.
I couldn't take another minute of it. My best friend was right across from me, rolling her eyes too. I did it.
In my loudest voice, I said, "MY. AREN'T WE HAVING A GOOD TIME! THIS IS THE PERFECT RESTAURANT, ISN'T IT! WHAT A GOOD TIME!"
That fit those particular circumstances. It wouldn't work in different circumstances. My friend blushed and giggled and looked down. But the jerk's table quieted.

They're not all loud and obnoxious. I know some that are very quiet and polite. The ones that are that way have a inferiority complex and need to be noticed. And they think women are that way, so they act it. But I can tell you, these gay men that want to imitate women don't even know how a woman really feels or acts. Women nowadays can be feminine but not the way these gay men portray them. Wearing tons of make-up and dressed to the nines like an old time actress. It really makes me mad to see that because they have no idea. If you want to be a woman, then act and dress like a normal woman. If this offends anyone, I'm sorry. It's just my opinion alone.

well not all gay people are loud and obnoxious. I had a gay classmate and he wasn't like that. He was quiet....and a really nice guy.
There are just different "kinds" of gay people. You have the ones who are loud and proud and others that just keep quiet...kinda like the celebs that are in the closet....and some out of the closet are loud.

Perhaps you should rethink any statement that attempts to characterize an entire group of people according to their sexual preferences.
This is like asking, "Why are all straight people such bad dressers?" or "Why do all women with size 7 feet smell funny?"
It's a prejudiced and ridiculous assumption.
