Looks like it is both a CD-ROM and DVD drive.

Well, its a CD-Rom and not a DVD-Rom
If it's a DVD-Rom, then it would say DVD not CD under Device Manager when you expand the "DVD/CD-Rom Devices"
Regarding the Drive Properties, nearly all of them say the same data for the "Device Type" and "Manufacturer"
And it looks like you have two CD-Rom devices...
If you are still not sure...look at the front-panel of the device and see whats written on it. If it says CD-Rom only, then it is that, but if it has the word DVD on it, then its a CD-Rom and DVD drive...
Hope this answers your question...
Good Luck!

there is not enough information in the capture to judge, but i'd say no since it is not saying dvd anywhere in device manager.
if, on the front of the drive there is a dvd-rom logo stamped into the tray then you have a drive which can READ dvds. if you have a logo on there which says dvd-rw you have a drive which can WRITE dvds.
if you have neither, you probably have a plain old cd-rom drive.
BUT basically the clue would be this: if YOU didn't install powerdvd and the pc is brand new and came with powerdvd installed then you likely have at least a dvd-rom drive.

One easy way to find out is to put in a DVD; then click on the "My Computer" icon on your screen.
If the icon for the drive shows a DVD rom with a title, then you've a DVD rom. If it doesn't, or has a blank title, then its a CD drive; repeat with a audio CD and you'll be able to confirm it.

well it seems to be the case: you have a DVD player. Yet sometimes it displays that even if it's mot the case. The best way is to check this out directly from the DVD player. check this in the front of the CD player's door, you should find written "DVD". hope that help you !

you may replace the prevailing force. Or once you've an empty bay to placed a second force into, you may have 2 drives. Makes it extra reachable to reproduction CDs with 2 drives. you'll likely ought to run the CD that contains the DVD force to operate the DVD participant software and the DVD burner software.

don't think so, because the top left icon reads CD-ROM only.
the "DVD/CD-ROM" label is generic.
