An ultrasound examination of the liver may reveal changes attributable to a liver under alcoholic assault.
Blood tests ,specially liver function tests , can reveal a long term alcohol effect.
The best test in an acute stage is that the person is drunk !! and for this, we do not need to be a Sherlock Holmes.

There is No x-ray method I am aware of. I had a blood test done once to check whether I had been drinking alcohol for months before the test. This is a special test and differs from the police urine/blood test for levels in your blood at the time the sample is taken. I lost my heavy goods vehicle licence for 5 years as I had admitted being an alcoholic. To get it back I had to wait and be free of alcohol for 5 years.

No. X Rays will not tell you the answer. The acid test is a blood sample analysis - Liver Profile to detect any deterioration in the constitution of that organ. Alternatively, smell the breath pehaps?

an x-ray cannot show this. the only tests for alcohol are alcohol blood levels which would be able to tell you any alcohol consumption in the near past. other blood tests are liver function tests which will detect any liver damage which could be related to alchol abuse. and ultasound scan will also give a clearer image of the size and texture of the liver which can also indicate alcoholic liver disease

I can't imagine an X-ray would get you anywhere! Certainly blood alcohol levels can be taken, as well as detection for levels of illegal drugs in the blood

Don't worry you are safe. X-rays degrade very quickly and the doses used in a standard scanner are very low. Exact studies into this have not been done, so it cannot be a guarantee, but the risk is very low.

x-ray helps to see hard tissues in our body(bones for a example) but not soft and liquid tissues like blood
