We have caused much of the poverty in this country by ourselves without knowing or at least willing to admit it.

We fill our houses with unnecessary toys, gadgets, junk food and jewelry while our very own family members or neighbors are searching for work to survive another wave of economic downfalls with a Reublican administration. We also have an enormous gas bill at the pump, thanks to ....you know who.

Jumping ahead, those who have graduated high school, college, trade school, etc are out begging for work which is given to illegal aliens who pose as law abiding citizens, but shoot our jobs down to minimum wage or less to make the boss rich and us unemployed. for those of us who have no talent, skill or trade, umemployment has been even harder to bear. It hasn't stopped them from having another child, which pulls them further into poverty. So, what can we expect from living without planning for the future?

What is our obligation to society? Help those who are needy, homeless, handicapped and undertrained. give them a chance to stay alive and return back to work. Hiring an illegal alien to line your own pocket with tax free dollars will have Uncle Sam chasing after you someday. It's not worth it!

Only the individual. Stealing money from the working to give it to those who don't, has proven to be immoral and unconstitutional. When I lived in NYC, I only made 9$/hour (in the nation's most expensive city). I was taxed at 38% with means I really made 5.40$. Furthermore, if YOU aren't fighting poverty, then don't act like you are.

Individually,.........get as much education as possible, serve society by having a good career and give to charity when you are wealthy. As a society, encourage and help children to get cheap education.
