I can never take any food pics of myself. Every time my friends or I take a pic of myself it looks terrible. Any tips on taking better pics of myself?

Stop being so damn aware of the camera. Most people that are not photogenic are that way because they are trying too hard to be photogenic; resulting in *cheese*.

Best advice, have your friend photograph you while you are focusing on something else that requires your full attention. Reading a book, watching football, or fishing....

If this isn't possible, you need to put yourself in such a state that won't allow you to focus on anything, thus not being aware of the camera. Booze is probably the only legal way of doing this.

If your friend follows you around for a day, taking hundreds of pics, you're bound to get a few good ones. No posing. They should be taken at random while you are busy doing something. Try color, black and white, sepia...ect., if you have a digital camera with these features. Sharpness settings should be low or medium. Everything is easier in well-lit environments. Your friends will tell you which ones are good, if you are self-conscious, that is.
