Does EVERY woman HAVE TO wear make up...regardless of how naturally pretty she is?

Do other women look down on a woman who refused to wear it? I'm a male and I really would like to know an honest answer to this question.

women don't HAVE to wear makeup. definetly not. we do it because some of us feel like we need to, more secure with it, or some of us think it makes us look better (which when applied correctly and sparingly, it does). If a woman is naturally gorgeous and doesn't wear any makeup at all, i wouldn't say me or any of my friends would look down on her, she probably looks better than we do with makeup. but if a girl is quite hideous and is wearing no makeup, we'll sort of wonder why she didn't take the time to fix herself up, if she would look 1000x better. But regardless, no every woman does NOT have to wear makeup, and they're not looked down upon.

There are some women out there that look WAYYYYYYY better with out makeup than with it on. I personally dont think makeup is really neccessary unless you have something you want to mask or cover up. No women should ever look down on other women because of that. I dont think they do, but iam a guy so i wouldnt be qualified to answer that. Natural beauty is more attractive than made up beauty anyday(my opinion)....

I didn't wear make up until my late 20's. I was always a T-shirt and jeans girl with great skin. I never needed makeup, but when I started moving up the career ladder, it seemed like I had to dress professionally and wear makeup to look professional and fit in at work.
Now if i went out to a club, I wouldn't stand out unless I wore make up. So I have to at least wear lipstick and eyeliner. If I went to work without make up, I would look "dull" compared to the women with bright lipstick and eyeliner on. It helps your face stand out and look "brighter" and vivid, I guess.

Some women are just gorgeous without makeup while others need a little color added to them to improve their looks. You see the occasional one who thinks that if a little makeup is good then a lot is better. They look like a painted whore and many times are stuck on them self. Yes some women look down on those who don't need makeup but I suspect a lot of it is jealously.

I am beautiful and I do not hardly ever wear any...lol!! I think that maybe some women are hiding flaws, maybe it makes them feel prettier. I do sometimes but it doesn't really matter to me either way. I know some women will not step out of the house w/o it. I don't get that maybe it makes them feel done up.

No a woman doesn't have to wear makeup. Most do, it's just the way it is. I don't wear makeup most of the time unless I'm going out somewhere all dressed up. My husband thinks I'm beautiful either way.

I never wear make-up,I don't like the feel of all that crap on my skin. I've been told that I don't need it,even though my sister is always trying to get me to wear it. (She puts hers on with a putty knife!) I think if a woman looks down on another woman for not wearing it,they're just jealous!

There is no law that requires make-up. It's a choice and I don't believe women universally look down on each other if one doesn't wear any.

No, some women look perfect without it, but these women are very rare. The rest of us do indeed have flaws to hide and features to accentuate. If more women found a makeup regimen that suited them individually, we'd all look gorgeous.

No, women who think like that must be in make-up sales. Personally I have more envy for women who don't need to wear make-up because of their natural beauty and lovely skin. I think too much make-up and inappropriate make-up (ie., disco make-up at the office) looks tacky.
