A lot of my family members are sterotypes. When my uncle sees my room that was painted green a few months ago, he said it was a weird color and that girls should like pink and purple. My aunt dresses up my little girl cousin girly and my mom said that I have to wear makeup now because I'm growing up to a woman and that women should wear makeup.Even my own cousins say that I should be girly just because I'm a girl. I hate being sterotyped by them and I want to beat something up every time they sterotype boys or girls.

At least your folks didn't make you paint your room pink!
I know how you feel, but my parents were pretty tolerant.
Still, my mom made me wear a bra, but I stopped wearing it when I was 18. Now my daughter wants me to wear a bra. lol
Now, I kind of wish I had learned how to use make-up when I was young. Not that I would wear it often, but it might be nice to be a little more proficient....
And you know, if pink hadn't been pushed as a girl color so much, I would probably like it. I know I look good in it, but I never wear it. I guess I'm just stubborn....
My biggest girly issue was wearing nylons. I still won't wear them. I think this may have affected my career path in a negative way, but I wouldn't give in.
Well, I just wanted to vent a little....

maybe you should evaluate yourself, maybe you lack the "girl" thing ^_^

dont tell that your family is stereotype 'coz they're all you got wen no one is there for you.

Just tell them nicely that you want to be yourself and tired of being told to be girly

gud luck girl ^_^

Yes you are growing up and part of growing up is being able to express yourself the way YOU choose to. Tell them you are who you are and if they don't like it's their problem to deal with, not yours!

Be who you are, no matter what you have between your legs!
Don't let other tell you what to be!
