Well as long as your parents are cool with a 13 year old dating a 17 year old, then fine. There really is no age limit in dating, just as long as its legal.

So I know this was answered a long time ago but I still have something to say. I think the age is fine. When I was 13 I dated a 16 year old and the relationship led to dating for 2 years. We never had sex or anything and we really liked each other. The only reason we broke us was because his family was moving.

Well, it depends on your maturity level. If it was a 27 and a 23 year old, that would be OK, but 17 and 13 is a little too much. You want people on the same maturity level. I know someone who is 22 and is going out with a 17 year old, but they both are extremely mature, so it'll work out. Now if this 13 year old is very mature, then that shouldn't be a problem, but if he/she is just like every other 8th grader, I wouldn't advise it.

How much younger or what age? I wouldn't date someone more than 2 years younger. But when I'm older I'd date anyone over 18. Who wouldn't want a much younger trophy wife?

Between 12 and 14, a maximum of one year difference in ages. After 15, no more than two years' difference until you turn 18, when you can date anyone you like.

Rach... if you're the 13-year-old, and HE is the 17-year-old, just don't!
I'd be dumbstruck if your parents went along with it. At 17, he's going to be wanting a lot more from you than any 13-year-old girl should be ready to give up. Please find a nice boy your age.

Oh, yikes! It against that law in most, if not all, states for a couple of these ages to have sexual contact, even way short of sex. Of course it's possible to date without doing this ...

I don't think there's a limit at all. If you love a person, then you can't hide it. It's going to come out. And if it's just lust, there's a lesson to learn. So, they have to take notes, and they can't do that if they don't date. So, there's no limit in my book.
