Weird electrical noise like music in the home??

Question

In a friend's home, a she walks over to an end table, reaches for the lamp, and sometimes there is a musical noise that sounds like one of those musical greeting cards. Cannot figure out where the sound is coming from. Any ideas? Electrical problem or what?!?

It happens when she touches the lamp and gets a shock from static electricity or something similar.
