Since I am a high school senior, I must choose a quote to reflect on my past, present, and future. I am a prospective college student and businessman. I had a list of over 20 and could not seem to narrow it down to any less than 4.

1) Singleness of purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one's aim.
- John D. Rockefeller

2) If you want to succeed you should strike out on new paths, rather than travel the worn paths of accepted success.
- John D. Rockefeller

3) Do not look for approval except for the consciousness of doing your best.
- Andrew Carnegie

4) Do your duty and a little more and the future will take care of itself.
- Andrew Carnegie

I would describe myself as very ambitious and prepared. What do you like out of the 4?

I am going to college to study finance or a related business field. I want to work at a large firm in a big city and one day begin my own company. My goal in life is to be successful and not to be wealthy.

I like 4, myself. 2 is also good, but it can be taken the wrong way. Good luck, and never give up!

I like 4. It says that you will always give a little extra.
(With your added details, I'd definitely stick with 4.)

3. -- They may think you won't feel the need to please them.

2 might make people think you're gonna go off-track and not follow the rules. This might be good if you're planning to go into research.

1 might make people think you only want to concentrate on one thing in life.

What field are you interested in?

ADDED: LOL! Right off the bat, the first four people like 3, 2, 1, and 4. Is this working for you?

.

Thats between the most contractor jobs you want to be very careful with. attempt to get a referral from a official GC (straight forward contractor). also, every time I have any artwork executed, even after a refrral, i'm getting a minimum of three estimates, and also you'd be shocked at probably the most discrepancies you will see. income understanding of to ask questions, and ask them in the experience that they have got were given 2 references they're waiting to grant you.

I think #3 is neat. I don't entirely agree with 2 (or 1, though to a lesser extent), and I think 4 is also a nice outlook to have.

I like 2, but my personal favorite quote in this situation is :

"To grow up is to discover what one is unequal to."
