Isa (pbuh)
There have been many interpretations of the bible throughout time. The King James version was just the English standardized form. That had been translated from previous text.
Something is always lost in translation.

Jesus Christ the Son of God, Jesus the son of Joesph, Christ Jesus
well it was not the only translation of the times
Early Modern English Bible translations are those translations of the Bible which were made between about 1500 and 1800, the period of Early Modern English. This was the first major period of Bible translation into the English language. It began with the dramatic introduction of Tyndale's Bible and included the landmark King James Version and Douai Bibles. It included the first "authorised version", known as the Great Bible (1539); the Geneva Bible (1560), notable for being the first Bible divided into verses; and the Bishop's Bible (1568), which was an attempt by Elisabeth I to again create an authorised version.

Jesus is the Latin translation of Joshua. The King James bible is fairly new there have been many and varied translations. Many, much older then the King James version. Note the word version. The Coptic text is 1000 years older.

Jesus' Name was Yeshewa. that's what they called Him when He walked the earth.
The King James Version of the Bible was written in the year 1611. So yes, they did have it in the 1800's.

His original Hebrew name was Yeshua. If you prefer the Islamic view his name was Isa.
I'm not too sure about the KJV being the only translation around in the 1800s.
I think you'd have to specift who "they" are.
