Everyone is going to tell you, "Tell him how you feel." If you are in grade school, this is probably one of the scariest events for you, because you are putting yourself out on a limb.
You may be thinking, "What if he does not like me?" Isn't it better that you know for sure? If you keep flirting and don't talk about the issue, you may find yourself very disappointed someday if you think it is leading somewhere but he doesn't.
You may be thinking, "What if we stop being friends?" This rarely ever happens. Many guys are flattered and relieved. Some are insecure and may try to distance themselves, but the truth is you don't need an insecure individual in your life.
You may be thinking, "What if he does like me?" Then you get to figure out the next step together. Maybe you start dating, maybe you keep things the way they are for now.
These are the possible reasons why telling him might be scary; there are many unknowns. Now that they have been listed, they shouldn't be as scary as before. Millions of people have been where you are, and millions more will follow. Feel free to take a risk, and do not be discouraged if the result is not the one you want; there are more risks to be taken in life, and more boys to tell you like.
